New Photo Gallery Software

All, Photography December 26th, 2005

It’s been quiet on the photography front, but mostly because I don’t REALLY want to take any decent pictures until I get my new camera. Unfortunately, though I can afford things like this now, I’m car shopping this week, so putting aside for my new beauty will have to be pushed back a paycheck or two (that’s a lower-end professional camera…$1,000 for the body alone).

However, since new photos are definitely on the horizon, I’ve decided to start building a gallery to hold my…portfolio, I guess. I tried out a couple gallery packages, and finally settled on SimpleViewer, an extremely lightweight flash photo gallery. Right now it’s just the default install, I haven’t modified it at all, but I’m pleased with its functionality. Currently, there are just a couple random photos in there, but it will be growing.

Eventually, when I “officially” launch the gallery, I will link to it from here. I first want to modify it so it matches my blog’s theme a little better. Afterwards, new photography blogs will only announce updates to the gallery.

You don’t even come to Hooligans anymore and you still made a virtual 360 controller for us. You rock, Bill.

Yeah, fuck, SLR’s are extremely expensive. I decided to fuck SLR and go for a cheap, portable digital. It’s good enough for one not really trying to delve deeply into digital photography.
