Posted this in the thread at Hooligans, but since you don’t go there anymore:
Driving around the past two days, I’ve probably passed more than 10 churches in my town and every single one of them had a sermon this Sunday or is having one next Sunday about why this book is fake and these aren’t even Catholic churches. Who gives a fuck!? Of course, it’s fake. If you read ANYTHING by Michael Crichton he tries to make it sound like scientific/historical fact that all the stuff that happens is completely possible, but I don’t see people worrying about the return of dinosaurs. Granted, there isn’t a religion based on a T-rex that claimed he was god supposedly marrying a velociraptor and having a little baby brontosaurus, but if there was, I think it would be awesome.
