Death to the King

All, Music, Photography June 5th, 2006

Hey, as long as we’re on local music, my friends’ band Death to the King now has a Myspace, so definitely check out their songs. They’re just now putting the finishing touches on a self produced CD that’s really sounding great.

Anyway, they wanted some photos for their profile, and I had a bunch leftover from a show they played way back in January, so I fixed a couple of them up real quick so they’re semi-presentable on the web. This was my first attempt at photographing a live band, and it is difficult as hell. Not only is your subject wailing around in low light, the lighting is constantly changing, and you’re in a sea of people who are also wailing around. Out of the 8 billion photos I took that night, I think about 5 turned out pretty good. Thank god for digital. Yeah, god.

Here’s what I came up with:

Yes definitely check out their songs if you like bad punk / worse metal. Please don’t endorse this Bill, it reflects poorly on you.

Shut the fuck up Chris. Your modesty is a little over the top.

  3. Chris (W) ((eaver)) Says:

Thanks for telling me I missed a spot when I cut my hair by the way. I look like a fuckin’ goof.
