Nordic Thunder Defeated
The news is a couple days old now, but I’m still pretty bitter about it. Basically, Nordic Thunder lost the Air Guitar nationals because of one dickhead judge, even though he was a crowd favorite. Hell, even the people that placed above him told him that he should have won. Here’s the bulletin he posted on Myspace after the defeat:
As you all know Thursday was the big day in NYC…Although I didn’t win, I still had an amazing time. I want to thank EVERYONE that came out to support the Nordic Thunder, and also want to thank those supporting Nordic Thunder long distance. I gave it hell out there, but fell short. According to the crew we had out there, and the fan base in general, the performance was nothing short of amazing. Even I felt that I nailed my performance! And in practice I rarely feel that I do…but I know I did in NYC. There were four judges. One being Sonyk-K! First woman from the USA to win the US and World title! She gave me a 5.8 (6 is the highest you can get, 4 is the lowest). My score was the highest she gave anyone in the first round! Two other judges gave me 5.9s, and the fourth judge gave me a 4.0! I was crushed…my score wasn’t even strong enough to make it to the second round. His reason was that “I was too over the top. Had too many gimmicks.” Dude was just a pussy that works for Vice magazine. He wouldn’t know rock and roll if it kicked him in the face. Anyways, gotta run. Thanks again everyone. I’m already thinking about next year! And you can bet your ass I will make it to the finals!

I’m still in shock that he lost… I feel like the world is falling down around me. If we can’t count on Howard to win the air guitar championship then what can we count on?
