I Like My Poison Like I Like My Women: Expensive and in Large Quantities

I noticed tonight that my beer bottle cap collection is getting pretty hefty, and since Amanda’s out of town and I forgot how to have fun by myself, I decided to tally ‘em all up.

The collection has grown by 360 caps in just three short months, and holy hell did I ever develop a taste for expensive beer. If you figure seven dollars for a six pack (conservative…Red Stripe and Heineken are closer to $9), that puts my beer bill at well over $400 since the last time I posted a bottle cap tally. That’s just for package; let’s not forget that bars are MUCH more expensive, and they keep your cap (I drink a lot of drafts, too). If you figure four dollars for a single bar-beer, it would be safe to guess that I spend a minimum of $200 a month on beer. Keep in mind that in some cultures, that is considered honorable.

Oh yeah, those girly “beers”? I wanted to try one of every kind. Get off my case. As for Budweiser? NOT the king of beers. By a long shot. Also, if you do the math, I should have a beer gut the size of a small child. Amazing what a three-dollar-a-day Dance Dance Revolution habit does for a ten-dollar-a-day beer habit.

    Do you normally drink that much Rolling Rock? I ask because I noticed that once I knew that Anheiser Busch was taking over I drank about thrice as much RR as usual.
