Everybody Votes! Channel
Came home yesterday to a flashing blue light on my Wii, which is always an exciting time because I have new messages! It was a message from Nintendo announcing that they had surprise-launched a new channel: the Everbody Votes! Channel. “Make your voice heard!”
I didn’t really expect much, and I was right to not get my hopes up, but it’s still kinda neat. Basically Nintendo posts several questions a day, as well as a couple global ones, and everybody votes on one of two choices. You can then opt to guess which one will be the most popular, and it keeps tabs on your correct guesses. When the results come in, you can see how people voted locally, nationally, and globally. There’s also a tab that shows how often you voted for the most popular choice, showing you how “in tune” you are (read: unoriginal, trendy).
Now, these aren’t questions like “Stem cell research: Save lives or save fetuses?”. Yesterday I voted that I preferred blue to red, dogs to cats, and would like a house on the beach much more than a house in the mountains (the novelty of mountains wears off in about 15 seconds, trust me). You can also submit your own questions for approval, and I sent in “Who would win in a fight? Predator/Darth Vader”, which is loaded, because everybody knows Darth Vader would destroy Predator. No contest. Anyone that thinks otherwise is a moron, and their opinions should be ignored. It’s important to teach children the value of democracy.

Well, it’s been right there on the table for quite some time. But until now, nobody has had the BALLS to actually come right out and say it! Predator couldn’t TOUCH Vader.

Yeah, too bad Predator wasted Carl Weathers. Took his arm clean off then impaled him. Can’t IMAGINE what Darth Vader could have done to him.
