Spam is Fun
For the first year this blog was around, I didn’t have to do any filtering because it wasn’t really indexed anywhere and I wasn’t pinging any blog services or anything. It’s still obscure, but that doesn’t deter spambots. No input field or submit button on the web is safe, and anybody that has a website [...]

Got home today to find a package from DHL and, assuming it to be my fisheye lens, I tore it open without looking at it. You can’t imagine the disappointment I felt when I discovered it to be a motherboard for a Dell server. “WTF?” I almost certainly exclaimed out loud, before turning the package [...]

Well after a day and a half of not being able to connect to the Joost network for absolutely no reason, the software finally decided to just work, and I’ve had no issues since.
Joost is a peer to peer streaming television service — kind of a mix between OnDemand services through your cable company and [...]
Desperately Looking for a Joost Invite
Total shot in the dark here, but if any Joost beta testers happen to stumble across this, I would love an invite.
I’m a power user at a couple private trackers, covering movies, music (I have lots of Oink invites), and games (PC, console). I’d gladly trade invites to any or all of them for a [...]
I Tire of This
We need to stop this.
Once again my beloved video games are under attack because the killer in the VT massacre, among other things, played video games. This is one of the most simple logical fallacies, and the media falls into it EVERY time. Jack Thompson is just a douchebag, but Dr. Phil of all [...]
Skate and Die
On my way home from work today I passed a girl in rollerskates that was walking her dog, and I had to laugh because that girl is so fucked if her dog decides to chase a squirrel or something.

I originally found one play on The Smoking Gun, but it seems AOL has published both of the plays that everybody keeps talking about.
Richard McBeef
Mr. Brownstone
Not only are they completely idiotic and ultimately pointless, they’re rife with misspellings and incorrect word usage.
“After a long, ravishing day at school, we just want to be left alone.”
…”ravishing”? [...]
My Two Cents on Violence
So I spent the better part of my “work” day watching ABC’s live coverage of the Virginia Tech Massacre at my “work”station (including Bush’s live statement). I’m the second youngest employee there, and a couple of the other employees made their way by to watch the coverage which, despite being broadcast by a TV station, [...]

There are a lot of conflicting reports, since news just broke a couple hours ago, but apparently the worst school shooting in history just took place earlier this morning on the Virginia Tech campus. I’ve seen claims between 20 and 32 dead, and as many more injured. Crazy, crazy.

Bumblephotos
Had the urge to take photos of bugs today, and since I don’t have a macro lens, I have to fake it with my zoom and aggressive cropping. Stumbled across a bee hanging out on a dandelion and decided to work on my bug shooting chops there. Nothing amazing… didn’t use a fast enough shutter [...]
