America Gets a Little Dumber Today
Well, the $27 million Creation Museum opened today, just outside of Cincinnati. Here’s a video from the Christian Broadcasting Network that should get your blood boiling.
You know what? Believe whatever you want. Go ahead and believe that dinosaurs and man existed together, that the Earth is 6000 years old and was created in 6 days, that “the flood” made all the fossils…just don’t LIE and say that your claims are backed by science, then teach kids that your “science” is the “correct” science. That’s not very scientific.

aarrggghhhh! ok, know I’m preaching to the choir here but he says “god says everything he created was good” so then how do they explain what happened?????? It’s either good or it’s not; how can a perfect god create anything that isn’t perfect? It’s their inconsistencies that drive me nuts. To say the bible is the word of god and then act like there aren’t MAJOR contradictions is just…splutter…scream…EEEEEEEKKKKKKKKKKKKKK
and why pretend about “science”? faith is all about just that. And this religion is one of the most anti-intellectual ones there is so why even bother trying to defend it scientifically??????????
damn, you were right, it got my blood boiling

I’m trying to figure out if that woman is just a terrible interviewer or if she was struggling to bring herself to ask such stupid questions.
Also, I admit that there’s no scientific evidence for 99% of what they’re trying to claim they have “scientific” evidence for, but isn’t their SOME proof of some sort of catastrophic flood in the past? Nearly every country has some sort of legend involving a great flood. I don’t think such a thing was sent by god as judgment, but I still can’t deny it may have happened.

A worldwide flood? No. Flood stories are prevalent in a lot of different religions’ mythologies but generally refer to local, major floods that may have appeared world-wide during times in which global travel wasn’t possible. There is no evidence of a global flood. At least, not in human history.

The point is also that even if there was a global flood, all that proves is that there was a global flood. If I take one solitary fact and then build a fictional story around it, my story is still just bullshit. On that same line, xns like to argue that even some historians believe there was an actual Jesus; thing is, even if there was some guy who led some religious group back then, it doesn’t prove he was the son of god any more than the fact that David Koresh actually existed proves that he was anything other than a crazy cult leader
