Another Day in Paradise
I got over the fact that I wouldn’t be able to skate out here pretty quickly. The tough pill to swallow is that I won’t be doing a lot of anything.
At this point, it’s pretty obvious that my tail bone is at least chipped if not broken, and there isn’t a thing I can do about it — aside from lay around on my stomach with ice packs on my ass all day while consuming an assortment of Ibuprofen-based medications like popcorn. Yesterday I actually managed to get out of the house and to a restaurant on the beach, where I had a pretty tasty crab-stuffed halibut in a goat cheese crust and citrus beurre blanc. Whatever the hell citrus beurre blanc is. I had a brief moment to shoot a couple photos from the wharf, but didn’t really get anything good.
I slept a little better last night with some more effective pain pills, but woke to excruciating pain when they wore off. Before last night I felt little to no pain if I laid on my right side, but now I have no sanctuary; I’m dizzy with pain no matter what I do. I had hoped to be able to go out and actually DO something today, but my injury seems to be worsening — today was spent playing DS and browsing the web (on my laptop, on my stomach, of course).
Whee.

Maybe someone that’s practiced medicine their entire life could help?
