Energy Drink Review: Ol’ Glory
Okay, I take it back. In my first energy drink review, I declared Steven Segal’s Thunderbolt the mother of all energy drinks. It has been surpassed.
Walmart now carries the new mother of all energy drinks: Ol’ Glory, Keeping Americans Strong! (Europeans, consume at own risk)
From their website:
Founded in 2004 by septuagenarian entrepreneur Don Sessions he [...]
“Please God, Someone Compete With Photoshop”
Discovered this little article on Digg, which was sandwiched between a zillion other, more interesting articles, but I felt inclined to comment, since I shoot a lot of photos, work with a lot of graphics, and Photoshop is like a son to me. That I stole from his biological parents.
This guy renounces Adobe not particularly [...]

Lady2: I know it! I know it! They’re taking away our rights!
Lady1: *CONCURS WITH SNORT!!*

Being Human is Evil
I recently discovered Godtube, a hilarious Christian version of Youtube that “utilizes Web based technology to connect Christians for the purpose of encouraging and advancing the Gospel worldwide.” Here you can watch clips of excruciatingly unfunny Christian comedians, public service advertisements about how abortion destroys women, and about 350 different versions of Ray Comfort’s unintentionally [...]

I just finished Letting Go of God, a live spoken word album by Julia Sweeney — the actress probably best known as “Pat” on Saturday Night Live. In it, she details the journey of her loss of faith — from her Catholic upbringing, through her exploration of new age mysticism, to Buddhism, to a sort [...]

Bad Religion’s 14th studio album is finally here, and yes, I’ve “owned” it for over three weeks now, but I was still excited to pick up the physical disc after its official release. Bad Religion is the greatest punk band of all time, Greg Graffin is a personal hero of mine, and as the original [...]

I was digging through my “My Pictures” folder today, which has been copied and recopied for years; there’s a ton of completely forgotten stuff in it. Most of it’s crap, but I rediscovered this little gem, my own interpretation of the opening of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, with its infamous dialogue. Instead of Richter [...]

A reindeer herder stumbled across a 10,000 year old frozen baby mammoth in Russia this May, which scientists are now saying is the best preserved specimen ever discovered. As I read the article, the 12-year-old on his 6th time through Jurassic Park in me thought “clone it”, so I laughed when I read this:
Some scientists [...]
Workartwork
Was listening to an audio book at work and started doodling a random pattern onto a notecard with a Sharpie. At some point I got bored of filling the notecard with the design, and finished with a sketch of John Lennon. I like it.

My first silly purchase in quite a while, I picked up a Syncmaster 226BW LCD monitor shortly after returning home from the worst vacation in history. I’ve been using a 17″ (16″ viewable) Mitsubishi Diamondtron CRT for several years, which really wasn’t a bad monitor, but was beginning to show its age. The new LCD, [...]
