Some Snapshots
There’s a park about six blocks from my place with a soccer field, walking paths and a big pond with fountains, waterfalls and a bridge. Well apparently all the waterfowl in the area like to hang out there and the other day there must have been 300 assorted birds, mostly ducks, on this pond; it was crazy. I figured I’d have to go by there with my camera.
Well today I did just that, but it must have been an off-day because there were about 20 ducks, a couple seagulls and some geese. Mildly interesting sure, but a zillion ducks > 20 ducks. As you approach you think “Wow, beautiful!” — until you get close and realize that all these pathways are completely covered in bird shit — then it’s more like “Oh yeah…nature.”
Anyway, I decided to take some photos anyway, but nothing I really liked. Still, you can kinda get a feel for the area I live in now.

How’s the weather compare to Casper at this time of year? Does it snow in Oregon?

Winter is pretty much cold rain with the occasional ice storm, so they tell me. Snow’s pretty rare, and if it DOES snow, it doesn’t really stick around for long. I guess we’ll see over the next couple months.
Today was pretty warm…in the 60’s maybe.
