Lennon - God
I thought that since I posted last year on the anniversary of his death, it wasn’t really necessary to say anything this year, but finally decided that my blog could use more Lennon.
This year I thought I would post God, one of my favorite songs off one of my favorite albums of all time, Plastic Ono Band. I distinctly remember the first time I heard the song (just a couple years ago, actually) — I was really paying attention to his list of things in which he doesn’t believe, and when he got to “Beatles,” I actually said “Oh…shit” aloud and to nobody in particular (I was the only one in the room). Brilliant song.
This particular copy of the song is a V0 MP3 I made from a FLAC rip of the Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs gold CD version of Plastic Ono Band.

One of my favorites too. First heard it when I watched Lennon’s biography “Imagine.”
