Happy Next Door: The Story of a Boy’s Magical Harmonica that Resurrects His Deceased Father in the Form of a Snowman with a Heart of Gold

Despite its low-contrast display and appetite for expensive watch batteries, when the Dreamcast was in, I was really into the VMU. I nearly always had it with me, and along with Pokémon Blue, VMU classics Zombie Fishing and Punches and Love got me through my senior year classes. At some point, somebody wrote a sloppy little VB program called VMU Animator, a sort of VMU cartoon studio that let you export animations from your PC. These animations could be uploaded to the net then downloaded directly to your VMU with the Dreamcast web browser. I made a bunch of stupid cartoons with it, but I found one in an old backup today that made me laugh out loud, so I made an animated GIF so I could share it.

It’s called Happy Next Door: The Story of a Boy’s Magical Harmonica that Resurrects His Deceased Father in the Form of a Snowman with a Heart of Gold.
