Random Downtown Pics
Highlight of the evening: You guessed it, a crazy person! When I first moved here, I made it a goal to get threatened, unprovoked, by a homeless guy. It didn’t really happen, unless you count the “Go with Dennis!” guy, but today my wish finally came true. A guy was sitting at a bus stop mumbling to himself; a conversation peppered with random shouting outbursts, directed at the people waiting for the streetcar. I wanted to get a picture of him, so I squatted down about 15 feet away and started taking pictures of the approaching train. My plan was to turn and inconspicuously sneak a candid when he wasn’t paying attention, but I didn’t get the chance as the streetcar pulled up and everybody started boarding, including my homeless dude. But before he reached the car, he stopped, whirled around to face me and yelled, with this wide-eyed, batshit-crazy look, “You’re gonna fry, you fuckin slut!” Several people turned to see who the fuckin slut was (me), and then with a look like he was trying to remember what he just said, he casually walked onto the streetcar before the doors closed. I bet THAT was a fun ride.

I feel really bad that someone had to settle for that low rent Elvis. Seriously, if it comes down to that point in your life where,
A) You need to hire an Elvis impersonator for something,
and,
B) You only have enough to afford that guy…
It’s a pretty fucking sad day in your life.
