Weekend Wrapup
So aside from shooting photos at the Church of Scientology protest, this weekend the excitement whale breached the surface of my ocean of existence, which in this analogy has been covered by a thick layer of ice representing the boredom of tagging MP3s and trying to find the worst-sounding chord on guitar. Unfortunately, the surface immediately froze over again, stranding the excitement whale and forcing local residents to attempt to remove the decaying carcass with dynamite, which in this analogy represents me falling asleep watching stupid shit on YouTube.
1. Nick and I swept the Rock Band tournament at his job’s game night last night, slaughtering the nearest competition by over 300,000 points on Enter Sandman in the final round, netting me a game for a system I don’t own and 2,000 Microsoft points I can’t redeem.
2. On Friday, for the first time in four months, the rain had stopped for what has to be a record-breaking 18 hours, which allowed the sidewalks to dry. I got my first real skateboarding session in (as in, a full day of skating) since my arrival in Portland, during which I discovered a cool spot downtown and met several friendly local skaters. Also, my body is now broken. Don’t forget to stretch, kids.
That is all. I like to keep things mundane. That way I’m never disappointed.
